Are you having a hard time focusing on anything but the election?
I swear, I'm starting a new job this week--orientation is today--and all I can do is think about this election. I've been working some for Obama, but not near as much as I would like to because of so many other things going on. The other night, I took my kids to their Girl Scout meeting and I swear, I couldn't get out of there fast enough to find out what was going on with "bailout news."

Geeze...talk about an electrically charged election! I've been active in elections since 1985, but NEVER have I found the intensity this strong to stay connected!

I'm always looking to see what more I can do to help. Anybody else having trouble focusing on everyday stuff?

If Obama wins, I will sleep like a baby for the first time since September of last year.

3. Yes - I've been a maniacal political junkie since our convention started, but ESPECIALLY
since Mooselini was chosen!!! I'm so ready for this to be over and to return the majority of my thoughts and energy to other things! :^)

7. YES.
I'm supposed to be studying for the magnetic resonance imaging certification exam; my boss wants me to pass it before November, and it's a biggie with a high failure rate. But I can't - MSNBC and DU keep on calling-out to me. :(

12. I have total attention deficit disorder for anything but DU and related input
Same thing happened to me 2004.

I do somethings like go to the gym at lunch, that helps. Read stuff about football so I can make reasonably sane choices for the football pool. Tonight I'll have dinner with friends, we'll probably talk about not much else than the election.

The prospect of Sarah Palin is absolutely terrifying and I feel an overselming need to stay connected to those who feel the same.

I'm not like that normally, but things change so fast, you can't take your eyes off it for one second! I was out in the field all day yesterday and came home to a disaster late afternoon. I spent all evening trying to catch up on it. I am late to work right now. Thankfully I am self-employed, but still... the day is getting on....

20. me too. but I am retired. :)
Seriously, though, I am over 60 , and I try to do what I can. I spent an entire weekend in PA last October (can't believe it was almost a year ago), canvassing over 115 homes in one morning. It was hot, it was hilly, but it had to be done. I spent the rest of the day phone banking from a church auditorium until almost 6 o'clock.

I hope to "man" a voting place in NH, to make sure no hanky panky goes on, on November 4th. I will be voting by absentee ballot.
