I think McCain is using words like "Suspend" and "Reschedule"

so that later he can say he lost the election because he had to stop campaigning and do work for the country.
I think he hopes that history will judge his failed campaign by that rather than his terrible campaigning in general, or his choice of Palin.

I think what he is doing now bodes well for us. It tells me that he clearly sees this is not going to go the way he wants & he is grasping at straws to make himself look better.
