This isn't funny anymore.
I haven't ever thought Palin was qualified to be Vice President. But this latest stunt has got me fucking pissed off. Let me get this straight. John McCain can't handle more than one thing at once, and so he suspends his campaign to "take care of the economic crisis" that just a week ago wasn't a crisis at all??? And even scarier, Palin now won't carry on her own campaign, let alone pick up his slack. Hang on a minute right there, McCain old buddy, old pal!!! There is NO way in fucking hell that I am going to EVER accept that she could become my husband's Commander in Chief. And if the American people don't look at this for what it really and truly is and call you on your bullshit, our country is in deeper than even most of us had realized.

No way. This isn't funny anymore. Uh-uh. Not when half of your face has slid down two inches in the last 4 months, not when you've had melanoma 4 times. I wouldn't have felt comfortable with Mitt Romney being potential Commander in Chief if you croaked, but THIS WOMAN????? No. NO. A thousand times NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Pissed off in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

3. I got a buddy on his second tour in Iraq and I wonder what he thinks of this...
The problem is that he and my other good friend are so in the tank for the Republican Party and can't admit how wrong they've been for so long I don't doubt they will rationalize what a "great pick" she was.

The problem is that people get so blinded by brand identification it short circuits their logic centers.

5. Hubby is deployed right now, and although the buzz is that she's *hot*
Most of them cringe at the thought of her as Commander in Chief. Apparently the chow hall talk there is that they could have tolerated Clinton telling them what to do, but Palin is a joke.

14. That if something were to happen to Obama,
at least Biden would know what in the hell to do. And not only that, these guys are tired of the Stop Loss program, tired of being deployed every 11 months with no time to rest up between deployments. There is a reason that deployed military contributions to Obama outnumber McCain 6:1. I did a very unscientific "bumper sticker poll" of the Commissary parking lot here at Ft. Campbell this morning and we outnumbered McCain stickers 3:1. And that's just those of us that are willing to put the sticker on the car.

4. Agreed. McCain put politics before the safety of the country by picking Palin.
At least Romney isn't a total idiot. I don't agree with him on really anything, but if something were to happen to a hypothetical president McCain, I think Romney could, at the least, pull it off on levels matching the current administration (and thats not saying much, I know). Palin as president would be a total disaster, regardless of what party she belongs to.

Someone needs to rev up the meme that McCain made an irresponsible, wreckless political decision by risking the possibility of someone so unknowledgeable and underqualified becoming president one day. I agree with most analysis that the Obama campaign shouldn't try to make the election about Palin... but that shouldn't stop them from using McCain's decision in choosing her as a referendum on his judgement.

13. Why doesn't the media call John out on this daily?
say if you vp person is ready to be pres why can't she hold her own? what are they afraid of?

Someone needs to get past all the hype and spin and daily call the guy out on this. Say the american people are NOT stupid. You are an older man that has had cancer in the past, it can come back, your experiences as a pow also add into your medical health and you won't let Sarah speak, answer questions, debate????

Can you imagine Sarah running the country? Shit that gives me total fear. I have military kids to in Korea and I can't imagine her with her last days religious views about war running things.
