DU this North Carolina poll about whether debate should continue (it's close)
WRAL (#1 news station in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) poll about whether debate should continue or if it's appropriate for McCain to cancel it to "deal with the financial crisis". Disappointing to see that right now, "yes" and "no" are nearly at a tie. I would've hoped the disparity would be greater to indicate more Obama strength in that crucial metro. area if we want to win NC. So...time to DU it.

Poll is on the right side.

6. Yes it is! Some of the most disgusting things I've ever read have been via wral's comment sections.
I just check for news and weather and that's it. yuck.

2. Done - here's the results
EB POLL
Should the debate between Sen. John McCain and Barack Obama go on as scheduled Friday?

33%
No – It should be rescheduled so McCain can return to Washington to deal with the financial crisis.

36%
Yes – With the election nearing, voters need to hear from both candidates.

31%
It doesn’t matter – The debate wasn’t going to affect my vote anyway.

(I do suspect the debates won't affect the majority of voters, but I voted YES)

3. thanks
It's especially important to saturate this poll because they just announced on the 12 p.m. noon WRAL news on TV that they were running it, so a lot of viewers are going to check it out to vote or see the results.

5. Done
If you add up the 'Yes' and 'Doesn't Matter' totals, it looks like not too many think McCain's plan to postpone is really that big of a deal.
