Just converted two coworkers to Obama! |
|
I've been working on them for a couple of months, but yesterdays developments, along with the Palin interviews on YouTube I shared with them, convinced them that McGrumps and Mooselini are just too scary. They're both very conservative, ex-military types, and view McBush's suspension as a cowardly, chickenshit political ploy. We Can Do This!!

3. McCain's campaign is making it as easy as a canned shoot. Even some die hards are bailing out. |
|
Ditch the Plane McCain is living up to his name.

4. Even if you can't get them to vote for Obama |
|
Getting them to just not vote is a win.

8. I think I may have gotten one of my coworkers to vote Obama as well |
|
Not completely sure on it, but it's looking promising, and I know he wasn't planning on voting for anyone before.
On the otherhand, I heard another co-worker openly say "I don't want a black president" and the guy who does some of the dairy deliveries is just thrilled with Palin's NRA membership...

9. Keep up the good efforts! |
|
It took me a couple of months, but if you present the facts, avoid insulting the candidates personally, they can be won over. I'm eyeing a couple of others here in the office I'm going to work on now. Plus, my new converts can help me.

11. Not sure if some of them are worth the effort |
|
One the one hand, the woman who said she didn't want a black president said her main problem is his position on the inheritance tax. The counter-argument I was planning on using is that the inheritance tax is payed only one, while voting in someone so anti-union would have us all paying a lot more and a lot more often.
The dairy delivery guy thinks the aerial hunting of wolves is "cool" and "necessary up there", so I don't think he can be saved.
But, I have gotten the entire bakery to vote Obama - only needed to "convert" three, and the others who work in that department helped.
