95% of me is convinced that McCain's Suspend/Cancel behavior is going to backfire spectacularly...
Why not 100%? Because the remaining 5% remembers how colossally boneheaded the pick of Sarah Palin for VP seemed three weeks ago--and how unfunny it was when nearly every poll in the country flip-flopped for McCain shortly thereafter. (Luckily, they've all turned around since then, and then some.) Now, I haven't seen the media cheerleaders doing cartwheels today like they were for Sarah immediately after her convention speech--even Fox News seems stunned by John's latest--but you never can tell in these crazy times we live in.

That's all I'm sayin'--call me a concern troll if you must.

1. I'll take 95% chance of epic fail. Those are pretty damn good odds.

3. His ads are still on tv in Michigan. So much for the "suspension".
The ads have NOT stopped in Michigan!

6. I'm gonna watch local TV here in Colorado and see if
they are still playing here as well. If they are I'm gonna email every news outlet. Everyone in a close swing state should do the same.

4. The best you can say for the Palin thing is that it was a flash in the pan.
Then the flintlock blew up in McNutso's face.

I think I'd go with the 95% if I were you. If the .05 level is good enough for publication, it's good enough for me.

5. McSame hasn't suspended
his campaign. He's just canceled appearances and wants to "postpone" the debate. His surrogates are still out there campaigning. McCain has just hidden himself away like he's done to Palin. No access - they make too many gaffes to be allowed in non-scripted events.

7. Yeah but that was before this spectacular collapse of our economy :-/
I think people are more worried about real issues right now and not the Palin-McCain freak show...
That sort of stuff is less amusing in the middle of this kind of crisis.
