The Great Photo Op

So the Great Photo Op occurred. President Bush was, properly, flanked by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. McCain was at one end. Obama was at the other.

The entire circus was a bad joke. This was a disastrous play by John McCain imo. He looks like a fool playing politics, and lousy politics at that.

...........

There will be an event tomorrow night in Oxford, Mississippi with or without John McCain

.....................

AND WHAT IS HE DOING IN DC RIGHT NOW?

Sen. McCain left his lunch in the Capitol at 1:50 p.m. and returned to his Russell Senate office with Sen. Lieberman and Rick Davis. Your pooler asked him if he was making any progress and he said something I couldn't hear too well, but seemed friendly and basically nonresponsive. So your pooler said that I would be around all day and if there's anything he'd like to tell me I'd be happy to hear. That got a laugh from Lieberman and a "thanks, Jilly" from McCain. As I type, Sen. Graham and Doug Holtz-Eakin have entered the Senate office.

2. I saw the pictures on CNN
and I was aghast! John McCain was sitting there LAUGHING! Really! How can he laugh when we're in a financial crisis and his campaign is suspended? Totally inappropriate!

:sarcasm:

3. My dear Obama's jaw is a tad clenched. I hope he takes the tension he's most
likely feeling and turns it into some beautiful shit to lay on that tableful of smiling cretins.

I ain't worried - he'll do it, eh? I just feel for him I guess is what I mean.

13. Did you see the latest shot (taken from his left)? Oh yeah, that is one tightly
clenched mass of facial muscles!! He is soooo over this horseshit!

That's okay - I think it's kinda cool he couldn't mask his disgust - he'll recover & be fine (gonna need a hazmat shower, but, he'll be fine!!!)

5. I think Bush played McCain here. Bush wants it to appear that HE is in charge, not McCain.
Bizarre power grab.

7. Could be revenge for
the convention. Bush's name was mentioned a total of 6 times and NEVER by mccain. It was bush that insisted on speaking by sattelite the second night. I don't think he liked being dissed by his own party.

9. I think Bush is trying to create some scrap of a legacy.
It's a hopeless cause, but I think he hates how ineffectual he is. He just wants some scrap of influence.
