He is trying to reclaim his maverick name by making these insane decisions off the seat of his pants.

He doesn't think this sh*t out, he just gets the gut feeling and runs with it, and sticks by it no matter if it turns out to be a lie, a mistake, etc.

This is exactly the kind of thing we see with George Jr. This making tendency to make decisions with the gut and then defend them no matter what it takes. This kind of thinking got us into Iraq, it got us into this financial crisis.

We need to make sure people know that with McCain, Maverick = Bush.
