WE ARE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS HERE, PEOPLE. |

...and it's truly frightening.
I'm talking about presidential intelligence, Republican style.
Remember way back when it was hard to believe anyone could support someone as stupid and ill-informed as Reagan? (I loved that SNL sketch in which Reagan was a secret genius, and the very idea of him being bright was enough for an entire hilarious sketch)
Then, Dan Quayle tried to lower the bar, and managed in some ways.
I never thought someone in such high office would be that dumb again, especially after we had the break of Clinton-Gore.
George W. Bush shattered the record, making Reagan look brilliant in comparison. I never even dreamed we could fall so low.
NOW... can you IMAGINE... if you've seen the Couric interview, especially... Sarah Palin, who could easily be one tenuous heartbeat from the presidency... actually makes George W. Bush look bright and well-informed by comparison. How could it happen, anywhere?
What's next? I don't think there can be a next, because if she were to get in that office, I don't foresee the country surviving.
