The winger's see her lack of communicative skills as a sure sign of her "realness".

In their meme: incoherence equals ordinary, or common folk, just like them.

It's same phenomena that they apply to Bush.

He, like Palin talks at their level. They despise Obama because they think he's "putting on airs."

As in he's treating them with contempt by speaking in a clear and comprehensive manner.

They can't make the connection that her incoherence is a sure sign of her incompetence.

To them competence is over rated and is not as important as shared identity.

Quite clearly, cognitive dissonance prevents them from understanding the consequences of her achieving the life and death responsibilities of high office.

What's more important is that their side "wins", because her victory would represent a victory for their narrow world view.

No matter what, the stupider her depiction, the more it'll fuel their resentment at her "unfair treatment" and will cause them to close ranks.
