Freepers gnash teeth in reaction to Palin-Couric interview (with QUOTES!)
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 05:37 PM by Tallison
Whew! Just survived a trek through Freeperville. I can't help it; I'm a social scientist, and that place occasionally begs for an investigative visit. The following are some of the specimens I collected there in reaction to yesterday's Palin-Couric triumph, sorted by category:

Blame Katie!...:grr:

"Katie Couric with her “gotcha” ATTEMPT questions like asking Gov. Sarah Palin for SPECIFIC examples of McCain pushing for more regulation in his 26 years. Now how is Palin supposed to know everything in McCain’s 26-year history. But Palin, as usual, came out smelling like a rose when she said she would try to find some for Katie and bring them to her. Palin answered in a commonsensical, honest way which is why we love her."

"I guarantee you not a single ‘reporter’ would ask Joe Biden to give specific examples of ‘change’ Obama has accomplished."

"Couric was pulling a Gibson with the legislative question. What else do you expect from the MSM."

"She was playing gotcha with Sarah just like all the others.

"If this is the treatment she’s getting as a VP candidate, think of the “snarky factor” she’ll receive if she ever runs for President."

"Gibson was snobbish and condescending, but Couric was mean and petty.

Scary, rabid right...:o

"Newt Gingrich understands this thing. So does Senator Bunning and Rush Limbaugh. Just about everyone else is effectively socialist."

"Times like this call for pulling out the "mean spirited" card."

Deluded...:smoke:

"Wall Street wasn’t as greedy as some say. They were funneling billions to the Left, as the law required them to do. And it still does."

"Overall, she did an excellent job."

Petulant...x(

"Have you heard anyone come up with the perfect solution that everyone agrees to?"

Obvious...:eyes:

"I liked when Gov. Sarah Palin said that there should be amendments in Paulson’s proposal, and that she said the American people will not support this."

"Sarah you need to bone up on Mccans record so they can’t play gotcha with you."

Simple-minded...:silly:

"We're in "Clint Eastwood movie" territory here. How many movies have pitted the grizzled old cop/soldier/whatever against the attractive, slick, politically astute adversary? And who's always the good guy?"

Ignorant...:dunce:

"This stupid quest for regulation is what got us into this situation today."

"It’s good she’s going through this now. It’s the epitomy of a baptism by fire if she ever runs for national office."

"Now that she's done two liberal interviews, when does she get to do Hannity?"

Psychoanalytical/conspiratorial...

"I think Sarah did no damage here. But I can sense that Sarah was not being the real Sarah. One of my biggest fear is that Mccain will destroy Sarah. It now looks like a certainty."

Non-sequitorial...:wtf:

"I just loved Katies face when Sarah did the blowing in the wind demonstration!"

And, finally, SCARED SHITLESS...:scared:

"Unfortunately Sarah Palin is economically at sea as far lost as is McCain."

"Biden has more of a clue."

"Terrifying."

Maybe that's why they like her.

Gov. Palin needs to be Impeached, now!!!

At the very least, Alaskans need to mount a Recall Petition & & toss her out. She is corrupt & inept. The vetting process of her becoming Gov. must have been almost non existent.

NBC spinned it that it's McCain's fault for keeping her hidden.

Because of that her words are being scrutinized. To which I say, HOW CAN YOU NOT SCRUTINIZE THEM TO MAKE ANY FREAKIN' SENSE OF ANYTHING SHE SAYS?

34. Those drones are not interested in what falin knows...
about such things. All they want to know is "What's her favorite color", "Where did she get those glasses?" & "What does she use to kill animals with?".

Biden received the same questioning from Couric, I watched it. I am not putting Couric on a pedestal at all, but for those people to assume that falin knows more then a veteran Senator is delusional and stupid.

"I guarantee you not a single ‘reporter’ would ask Joe Biden to give specific examples of ‘change’ Obama has accomplished." Really? because I have heard several times what those changes are and I have read the book.

40. Do these people know that McCain is counting on the stupid vote?
The uneducated, uninformed vote?

They'll say that they're actually smart because they DIDN'T go to a liberal school and become brain-washed. Which means that they are afraid of being brainwashed. They know the limits of their little brains. Can't be exposed to more than one view-point, dontchaknow.

They can't think for themselves. Bwaha

44. Anyone with a grasp of social science research
also votes Democratic, which is why universities are such incubators for progressive thought. One of my favorite all-time quotes of is Noam Chomsky's, "Freedom without opportunity is the devil's gift," which is exactly what the RW has been selling its working-class, undereducated base for decades.
