Who's watching Hardball?! Everything is in Obama's hand.
Deal is shook up, but shook up because of McCain.

Apparently the deal was seen, agreed--but not voted on, and Paulson was on board. McCain shows up, Republican Senate act up because they hate him and Bush and it's over.

When Obama showed up, everything was set, but most of Obama's principals were met but fell apart because of McCain.

Now Dems are going to have a press conference soon and blame McCain and his people. There is a chance, and I agree, that this won't be voted on tonight and probably not tomorrow. Which means that Presidential debate is in the air, at least for McCain.

McCain says no, he won't go. His campaign says their not sure if he's going or not. Obama is still going and plans on going to Washinton DC after debate. So if anything Obama will be there for sure.

But everyone is saying McCain is fucked. Don't watch CNN, their still being stupid.

1. McCain is trying to suspend reality imo and reality has caught up with him.
Don't screw with reality.

4. So much for "creating a new reality" a la Rove.
I'm sure McSame's advisers are assuring him that his move was brilliant and he's now on his way to the WH.

10. Yup, he did challenge Obama. But Obama didn't fall for that shit.
That was a set up. Like all of McCain's debates, they will have a certain group of people chosen. McCain doesn't allow just anyone to be part. You have to get a ticket. Possibly registered Repubilcan. I don't think he ever has a Dem at his meeting, unless they were locked in. Because apparently there are people on this board, and other boards who have basically been kidnapped into the McCain meetings, where they can't leave the room if they find themselves there.

It's a mess and Obama said hell no.

9. So the Gingrich plan to revive McLame's Maverick branding hasn't worked?
Republicans won't be able to offer their alternate deal and have McLame sweep in as the hero?

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/gingrich-mccain.html

Here's a clip on what Newty thought would be neat:

If McCain were to come out against the bailout plan, Gingrich said that Republicans would rally to his side and it would become possible for the McCain-Palin ticket to style itself as "taking on the Bush-Obama establishment."

"Either McCain is going to go along" with Obama in supporting the plan, said Gingrich, "in which case the establishment will have the fix in . . . or you are going to see McCain decide, much in the way that he did in picking Palin, that, in fact, he is a genuine maverick, that he genuinely defends the taxpayers, and that this is a terrible bill."

"If the latter happens," Gingrich continued, "I think you will see the emergence overnight of a 'McCain Reform Wing of the Republican Party' and you'll see House and Senate members siding with McCain by overwhelming margins and then you'll be in a very different political environment. You'll have 'Bush-Obama ads' on the one side and 'taking on the Bush-Obama establishment' on the other side, and that will be, frankly, one of the more amazing elections."
