I lived through that nightmare and honest to God, the guy was dumb as a stick.
Of course I'd still vote for Palin, but Reagan was pretty close.

16. Yeah, I want to vote for "Ray-gun"! |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 06:38 PM by chiefofclarinet
Seriously, at least Quayle didn't run our country in the ground. Palin will never get the opportunity. Bush tried, but Ray-gun did a much better job.
Given the choices, I guess I'll go with Mooselini.

39. Reagan at least at enough brains to KNOW he wasn't terribly smart - |
|
and he used his acting ability and acting experience to at least appear "presidential."
My mother, who couldn't stand the man, once said that he was obviously a better actor than she'd ever given him credit for, because he'd managed to convince almost the entire country that he was worth voting for.

News to me.
Only three presidents have won Nobels--T. Roosevelt, Wilson, and Carter.
And one Veep, of course. :)

Palin and Bush both have a sort of vicious, low cunning that places them intellectually above (and morally far below) Danny Boy.

23. I give Quayle points for owning up to being a r/w conservative. He never tried to pretend he |
|
was anything else. I thought he was a joke at the time, but, looking back, he had more integrity than either Boosh or the spokesmodel. He was clearly in way over his head and was a horrible speaker, and his policies were dead wrong. But I don't remember him as a conniving, bald-faced liar who would trash the Constitution. And when he and 41 lost the election, at least they honored the result. Those were the days.

10. These poll results are some major sexist shit |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 06:40 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Sarah Palin didn't even know she would be a national politician a month ago.
In 2000 Bush had been groomed to run for years, had wider life experience, grew up in politics, had helped run a national campaign, his father had been VP & Pres for 12 years.
And in 2000 Bush was at least as stupid as Palin on the campaign trail.
He insisted the leader of Pakistan was named "general"!!
And despite growing up in a CIA/Congress/White House household.
Bush is in his own league.

15. Sexist? SERIOUSLY? I challenge you... |
|
...to prove why this post is sexist. If this was Sam Palin, 2 year Alaskan Governor, running for Vice President of the US, based on his responses in a recent Katie Couric interview, the poll would be exactly the same.

My objection is to the voting, not calling you sexist for asking the question.
Any 'biggest dumb-ass' poll Bush doesn't lead has a problem.

|
I never thought the RePukes could scrape lower than the Chimpshit near the bottom of the stupidity barrel, but they actually goddamn did it. She really is that stupid.
And on top of that, unlike Chimpy, the Satanist Bohmeian Grove cult member who only pretends to be a "Christian" for publicity purposes, Moosealini is an honest to God (pardon the pun) Dominionazi Armegeddon cultist freak. :scared:
Her gender ain't got a damn thing to do with it.... except for the fact that her religion dictates that (because of her gender) she must submit to her husband. Which makes Todd Palin, right wing extremist secessionist America hating terrorist supporting employee of a foreign oil company, the "real" VP candidate. :scared:

37. Sexist? Bullshit. That is pure bullshit. |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 08:25 PM by Left Is Write
It is not sexist to consider Palin's obvious lack of intellect. She displays no ability to think on her feet, no ability to think critically, and had to be protected from journalists and hidden from press conferences because her own people can't trust her to answer questions. That goes a hell of a lot deeper than "not knowing" she would be a "national politician."
Her interviews reveal an incoherent, ill-spoken person who doesn't seem to understand questions let alone be able to formulate thoughtful answers.
THAT is why Palin is the runaway answer in this poll, and it has not a damn thing to do with her gender.

Quayle always struck me as having an IQ below 90. He was just not the sharpest tool in the shed.
