Hail, Zell! He feigns abandonment of Dems, then trashes Rep convention!
He's at the end of his career and has nothing to lose. He yearns to see a Democrat in office during his declining years. He knows what a Bush victory would do to the Supreme Court. With Kerry's understanding, he begins to spout irrational Limbaugh-like criticism of the Democrats in order to maneuver his way into the enemy's camp. Then, when the eyes of the world are upon him, he turns on the Republicans and spews an endless stream of idiocy. And THEN, the coup de grace, he challenges Chris Matthews to a duel. Even the "liberal" media can't keep a lid on such a bizarro performance. Bush is toast. Kerry is President. And we owe it all to Zell "Nathan Hale" Miller. Such selflessness. We must not let his memory be forgotten.

16. Zell's representatives will be meeting with you today to discuss details
of the duel. If you need a second, let me know.

7. Yep, and Zell was appointed to the Senate to fill

out the term of Paul Coverdell (R) who died. He really hadn't done anything in the Senate before we had to vote on whether to keep him there. Most of us expected him to be okay since he'd been a pretty good governor.

Plus I believe the voting machines were rigged to show Saxby Shameless winning over Max Cleland.

5. The GA Dem party has come to the rescue with Ads that ask us to
remember what he was and forget what he's become.

The effin BUBBAs down here are effin in our elections. Since it is a red state they eff with us and eff with our primaries. The effin rethugs picked Zig Zag Zell

8. But Roy Barnes, a Dem, appointed Zell to the Senate,

not knowing he was going to go loco on us.

From what I'm reading here, Zell may have hurt the GOP with his speech.

 I didn't watch it, no tolerance left for fools!

6. Now to see if...
Bush* starts to back away from Zell, or if Miller can keep up the LOONY act between now and November!

Think the GOP will catch on, or do they have too many loonies in their own ranks to get excited over one more?

11. The funny thing (well, one of many at this convention) is the Reps
are probably stuck with Zell. It's going to be hard to disown him as a loon when so much of his goofy rhetoric came straight from Rep talking points.

13. Well, that's the 'Elephant' in the room no-one wants to mention
That the GOP planks really ARE that crazy.

That'd be admitting that the party in control of the three branches of the federal government is demonstrably insane.
