One thing about McCain that the media seems to keep missing...

He CONSISTENTLY talks out of both sides of his ass. Can ANYONE say they know what John McCain actually stands for? He was for the bailout before he was against it. He kicks subsidies in the teeth even when they are for the programs that he supports. He bitches about earmarking and spending after selecting one of the biggest pork barrel politicians in the country. He was against torture until he decided that he was running for President and needed his base's support. He's taken a lifetime of hypocrisy and has used it to craft an image of a "Maverick." He's no a maverick. He's a hypocrite. A shell of a man with no real principles. I have absolutely NO idea who this man really is, and that's after knowing of him and watching him work for over a decade.

John McCain strikes me as a sort of Anakin Skywalker type of guy. I don't believe he's a truly "evil" man to the core, the way Bush and Dick Cheney are. I believe he is simply a man without spine and has allowed himself to be taken in by the dark side. Only he's no Darth Vader. He's more like Dark Helmet.

He seems to me like the sort of man who has always been expected to fill big shoes and big expectations. The son and grandson of legendary naval Admirals graduates fifth from the bottom of his class. A politician who perhaps in his early years tried to make a difference, but instead is an inept, bumbling, absentee moronic hypocrite who sold his soul to the devil simply because it was easier. He's not tough. He's weak. And he's a fraud.
