16. It was a warmish rain
According to Weather Underground, the high in Fredericksburg today was 80 -- the rain dropped the temperature some, but it was still over 70 with little or no wind when the speeches were getting underway at 6:30 and is about 67 even now. That's not catch-a-cold type rain.

17. Yeah, last thing you need on the campaign trail is a cold.
Didn't Barack have one a little while back? At least Joe wore the hat.

The rain would have caused his circuits to misfire. :silly:

10. Meanwhile, somewhere from a bunker in DC
McCain is devising a plan to stop Hurricane Kyle. This means, of course, that he will need to re-suspend his campaign that he never suspended in the first place. Rumor is that McCain has been on the phone with NOAA to see if they can delay the landfall of Kyle to coincide with the VP debate.

27. Good to see you, VI
I occasionally take time to laugh my bottom off at what the gop has deemed to be a serious contender for president & VP. It never takes too long, though, for the seriousness of what is at stake to take me right back to worry-wort status.

I hope all is well with you. :hi:

25. Obama can't help it. Presidential just seeps out of his pores.
can you imagine how McCain would look? Ugh! :puke:

So yeah, even though the outlook is stormy for America right now, Obama's still going to stand tall and lead us through the rain and thunder towards the light.

29. The fact he was in Fredericksburg
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 10:37 PM by kwolf68
Which is about 45 minutes from me is awesome news, because it shows Virginia REALLY IS in play. The fact the 'blue line' has moved further down I95 is a great sign. This would be a little like McCain campaigning in Oregon to be honest. If I saw McCain in Oregon or a center left state I'd be very worried.
