In AA, they tell us that you may be the only Big Book someone ever sees

I ran into someone I know from the rooms today. He asked me if that was me he saw at the Obama office last week. I said yeah, I had been there Wed volunteering. He said he never gave voting any thought before but seeing me there, he decided to check into what was going on.

He watched the debates last night. He's registering and voting for Obama.

You just never know who you are going to inspire by power of example. One more vote for Obama he may not have gotten because someone decided to change their way of thinking.

on another note, my sister's husband is a recovering alcoholic. AA has been such a huge help to him... and it has enabled him to help so many other guys as well. Craig is a wonderful man. I admire him so much and I am so grateful to the organization of AA for helping him to be all that he is.

5. Proud to say I've been in the rooms many years now myself, and

our family (my dad had 17 years before he died, and now me and the two sons) have realized "all you can do is set the example"...My sons friends, many of whom have dual problems, always make note and ask the boys many questions. They answer the best they can but "being an example" is the best of all. Happy 24!
