Connecticut Poll: Obama 54%-38%. "McCain Trails Significantly in Joe Lieberman's Home State."
In an election for President of the United States in Connecticut today, 09/26/08, Democrat Barack Obama defeats Republican John McCain 54% to 38%, according to this SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WABC-TV New York.

Obama takes a majority of votes among men and women, young and old, white and black. McCain leads among conservatives, Republicans, pro-life voters, gun owners, and those who regularly attend religious services. Obama leads by double digits in Hartford County, New Haven County, and Fairfield County; McCain and Obama tie in the rest of the state.

5. It's Connecticut, for cryin' out loud!
There are like FOUR, count 'em, FOUR conservatives in Connecticut! It's a VERY blue State.
If LIEberman ran today, he would be lucky to get 20% of the vote.

7. There are a lot of moderate Dems in CT
Jodi Rell - the moderate Republican - is still very popular. I think it's a middle-of-the-road state that is blue because so many national Republicans in recent years have been so far to the right

9. Obama kicks butt here, yes its true.
Obama is loved here and anyone can put an Obama sticker on their car or sign on their lawn and it will probably never be ripped off/vandalized. Lots of people here now hate Joe Loserman. My parents voted for him last time but they are very conservative. He is essentially a Republican now as he attracts all their votes. He should just make it official. Thank God we have Chris Dodd. We did throw out two conservative reps last time so maybe we can eventually get rid of Joe.

10. That's cause CT hates Lieberman now too.
And he knows full well his days are numbered. If I were Ned Lamont I'd position myself for another crack at the Senate.
