This is the AP pic when Obama was shaking my hand! I was right in front of him! |
|
You can't see me but I am right there in front of him. I remember the girls on my left in the white shirt. Look at the crowd and look where I was , right in front of Obama off camera. I am crying now! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x7225183

4. That's one interesting photo....I don't understand the depth of field in it... |

in that, there seems to be a hot spot in focus, and everything else is out of focus. Normally, everything from the camera lens to the focal length setting is in focus, and beyond is out, but the closest part to the camera in this case, is also out of focus....hope that made sense....wonder what kind of lens/setting they were using? (I would have shot it at infinity)

Beating the traffic or apparently Secret Service cleared the crowd early. I had no idea because I was shaking hands.

18. If you turn the aperture open, there's a very narrow range that's in focus |
|
Everything in front of and behind the focal point is blurry. I believe you can simulate this effect in a high-end digital camera.

I can't believe that picture. I am getting it framed. Its the notion of people might not believe me but in God's being he is standing right in front of me.

CNN was carrying a lot of it live, and they kept panning away to show that huge crowd!! I have to admit, CarolinaPeridot, that when I read your other OP about the rally I got a little weepy. It reminded me of my own experiences four years ago. :-( VolcanoJen's Excellent Kerry-Edwards Adventure! (July 2004)VolcanoJen's Excellent Kerry Dayton Rally Adventure, Part Deux! (October 2004)To this day I will still NEVER forget those days! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us!

23. We did our best, didn't we? |
|
It's still a little melancholy for me... especially to go back and read my thoughts, four years later.
I hope everyone realizes just how important this election is. I'm not sure we'll ever get another chance for change.
