Update from our sign rally today in Phoenix |
|
I know I promised pictures earlier but I only took two today and they are a little blurry. We're doing it again tomorrow and next weekend, so I'll complile pics and post them another day.
Anyway, there were 30-35 of us gathered on two busy street corners in a very well-to-do part of Phoenix with homemade posters, rally and yard signs and we showed our support for Obama. The number of enthusaistic honks, waves, and thumbs up was amazing, especially considering the area we were in - we figure it's definitely a red neighborhood.
We're going to do this again a couple of times, each day in a different spot, and I'll let you know any interesting outcomes. I highly recommend it as a possible activity anywhere just to boost support of and enthusiasm for Obama. I had some voter reg forms with me as well and suggest also having bumper stickers to hand out (we didn't but got some requests).
I think it's a valuable tool that can be used in conjuction with canvassing and voter drives to elect our next President: Barack Obama! :D
