1. huh? Where did you hear she was going to be on SNL?
I'm guessing you misheard someone (or correctly heard someone who misheard someone else ;-) ) saying that Tina Fey was going to be doing Palin again tonight, because I had never heard that Palin would ever be on SNL.

6. I read several places where it was rumored that she was going to be there.
her people did a walk through in preparation of her being there. Evidently it was another publicity stunt on their part.

A couple of my very good contacts who are quite reliable STILL swear to me that Palin's campaign people did a walk-through of the SNL set and talked about a sketch late on Friday afternoon, and again this morning.

They're also trying to find out why there was no appearance at all... but let me tell you I've never been happier to have been wrong. :-) I was worried she was going to show up in that opening Tina Fey sketch and ruin it for everyone!

Sorry to have steered anyone the wrong way, but I doubt we were disappointed when she was a no-show. I still believe the original story; maybe they (wisely) thought better of self-deprecation at this moment.

9. I'll defend you by saying ABC News and other MSM outlets
were saying she was going to appear.

ABC News' Imtiyaz Delawala Reports: After a crash course in foreign relations this week in New York, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin may be returning to New York tonight for a crash course in comedy.

Celebrity magazine, OK! Magazine, is reporting that Palin may make a surprise cameo appearance on "Saturday Night Live" tonight, alongside her separated-at-birth look-alike, Tina Fey, who spoofed Palin two weeks ago in the season premiere of the sketch comedy show.

OK! Magazine reported on its Web site on Wednesday that "sources close to the show" said Palin was considering making a surprise cameo on the program, and that Tina Fey would reprise her impersonation of the Republican vice presidential nominee. The magazine also said security for Gov. Palin conducted a walk-through of the Rockefeller Center studio on Wednesday in anticipation of the possible appearance.

Fey, who took home three Emmy awards this week for her work on the NBC sitcom "30 Rock," had previously served as the head writer of "SNL" and co-anchor of the show's "Weekend Update." She had not been known for impersonations before her comedic turn as Palin drew rave reviews.
