Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 07:44 AM by aaaaaa5a
That's what all the pundits will be saying on the morning talk shows.

Obama will likely be at 50% in every major national tracking poll by this afternoon.

And all we will hear is how Obama can't close the deal. He's STUCK ON 50%! Clearly no white working class voters or Clinton supporters have come home yet!

HERE'S MSNBC'S COVERAGE.....

PAT, OVER TO YOU... "WHY IS OBAMA STUCK AT JUST 50% IN THE POLLS?" "AND ISN'T THIS GOOD NEWS FOR MCCAIN?"

I AGREE DAVID, CLEARLY, MCCAIN WON THE NIGHT! OBAMA IS JUST TO EXOTIC TO CROSS THE 50% THRESHOLD!

HAROLD... "WHAT DO YOU THINK?" IS THE FACT THAT OBAMA IS ONLY AT 50% IN THE POLLS PROOF THAT MCCAIN WON THE DEBATE WITH THOSE CRUCIAL WORKING CLASS VOTERS IN OHIO AND PENNSYLVANIA? CLEARLY BASED ON THESE NUMBERS, OBAMA HAS FAILED TO PASS THE COMMANDER AND CHIEF THRESHOLD!

I MUST AGREE WITH "BROTHER" PAT...

ALTHOUGH I'M SUPPOSE TO BE HERE ON BEHALF OF DEMOCRATS, I MUST ADMIT I AM DISMAYED AT THE POLLING DATA OF THE DEBATE. IT CLEARLY SHOWS MCCAIN HOLDING HIS OWN IN HIS KEY AREA OF STRENGTH! ALL OF THE DEBATE NUMBERS SHOW A WIN FOR MCCAIN... BY THE WAY, HAS ANYONE FOUND A HAIR-BRUSH FOR ME YET?

Get ready!

2. Asshat Gregory has used the "why can't Obama close the deal" meme ad nauseum since Janurary.
That's always the fallback narrative.

3. Actually, I think Pat CAN be much more objective and less spinny than
Gregory. I think he gives his honest opinions - pro and con for both the candidates. When it's an issue that's near and dear to him, he of course goes off into that pasture. But on the whole, I'd listen to him before I'd listen to Gregory.

Harold -- hot and cold. Every once in a while he does okay. Times are few and far between, but...

And this is great, by the way! Very clever and well done -- Recommend!

4. Isn't reaching 50%...a huge accomplishment? It's sort of sign that you're winning.
Silly me. I'll never be a disgusting right wing Republican shill.

6. I bet anything you're wrong.
I'll wager that most of the talking heads on the Sunday shows don't do anything of the kind.

10. I am so ashamed to admit that Harold Ford, Jr. is my cousin. He disgraces the family sometimes.
His parents are much more progressive.
