Anyone notice that lately CNN and MSNBC don't have any poll numbers
their politics front page? CNN has had their poll of polls up for as long as I can remember, and MSNBC always had poll numbers up as well. Is it because of the debate, or is it because the numbers have shifted so strongly for Obama and they want to keep the story going that it's neck and neck?

1. Probably that's the case. When the Repubs steal the votes, it's handy
for them to say the race was close.

Even though we all know in reality Obama is WAAAAAAAY ahead.

3. I expect Obama's numbers to go up after his strong performance
in the debate. They should bump up again after the Biden/Palin debate.

I am however expecting the McCain campaign to come up with some kind of a distraction either immediately following or prior to the VP debate. They are going to have to try to change the subject.

5. Any time Obama is seriously in the lead the polls don't get
much air play. However when McCain briefly has a lead or if it benefits Mccain in some way there is airplay.

6. I've noticed ...

I've noticed. The media likes to play the "horse race" to get ratings up. If the conclusion to the race is obvious, that isn't good for ratings. I take this to mean that Obama's lead is significantly up.
