I hope they ask the VPs about womens issues
like equal pay, reproductive rights, prosecution of violent crimes against women, etc. That's where I want to see Biden and Palin compared.

2. Are the topics up to the candidates or the moderator?
It shouldn't be up to the candidate. Half the country is women. Equal pay is huge.

3. it isnt about biden attacking palin. it is about moderator showing the difference
Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 12:46 PM by seabeyond
between the two. and they are different on woman issues. i think it is absolutely legitimate to bring this up. absolutely.

it is a given, a duh to me.

doesnt seem to be with others.

i am assuming that it will be very controlled and will be all moderator controlling. just an assumption, but not interaction between two candidates

9. wouldnt it be good to actually see this difference given to the american people
so they can make an informed decision?

seeing how palin is running on being a female, and that is the only thing she is running on, maybe her supporters should hear it

6. No kidding - that would be dramatic. An 'old Washington guy" who's
been fighting for women's rights for years, as opposed to voting to make rape victims pay for their rape kits.

7. I think that most of the country does not know that about Biden.
Here at DU, we know. And his name is known around the country, but people do not specifically know that Joe Biden is a champion of womens rights, and they deserve to know that, especially if they are voting for the McCain-Palin ticket for the wrong reasons.

8. I hope they ask her about Young and Stevens
If she wants to change Washington, she surely must come out against them now...

10. Write Gwen Ifill and specifically ask for these questions:
http://www.pbs.org/weta/washingtonweek/feedback.html

If her inbox is flooded with these requests, how can she possibly ignore them?
