For those of you who saw Obama on Face the Nation...
Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 02:15 PM by yourguide
I missed it this morning, very curious how Schiffer was with Obama...Schiffer is hosting the last debate and I am very curious how his tones and overall manner were in his interview with O this morning. Can anyone fill me in?

1. very respectful back and forth
at the end, he commented that he would like to go on but they were out of time.

Never interrupted.

2. it was good
very respectful interview, awesome contrast from the McDousche interview half hour earlier on This Week.

BTW-- check out the last segment of the 9/25 daily show full episode, it has Scheiffer on, and he is eating up all the anti-McCain jokes. Great guy!

3. He was fine. He did his job and wasn't obnoxious.
For some reason even asking questions can be considered being a tool around here, but as a journalist, he did fine. He also let Obama talk and didn't interrupt him.

4. Respectful of his opinion, deferential, and a shift away from Bush family protector in 2004.

Looked at Obama interested in his opinion. Don't know if it'll last, or indicative of anyone else, but the seriousness of the crisis and real possibility of an Obama presidency hit him, I think.

Obama was pitch perfect, affirming how involved in the negotiations he was by phone (denying the leadership McCain sought), that it is a real crisis, why and how we need to change how we regulate and do business if elected. Listed his points as having been taken. How Bush and the past McCain is on foreign policy. Shot down the McCain claim of his lacking experience meme from the debate, with a smile.

Reassured and mightily impressed.
