I Get The Feeling that McCain Goes Off On Palin in Private
Seriously, after the major league blunders in her interviews and taking the same stance as Obama on Pakistan, I'm betting he calls her up and rips her a new one after every gaffe, which devestates her personal esteem even more each time making her even more nervous to perform the way her abuser wants her to perform.

It just comes off as a classic abuser/enabler relationship to me for some reason.

I have to wonder if she isn't having some buyers remorse about signing on with Gramps.

I don't think she knew what she was getting herself in to.

DC is a far cry from lazy old Alaska.

Inside the beltway, they are 100% dedicated to their role, there is no "part-time" political post, even George Stephanapoulos suffered from exhaustion working in the Clinton WH.

3. I am with you 100%. I've been in a relationship like that before and
we all know the story about his calling Cindy the c-word in front of people. If he speaks to her that way in public, you know that he's much worse in private and I do not doubt for one minute that he is just as demeaning and horrid to Sarah.

The guy is a class A asshole if you ask me.

That would be the only reason he picked a woman, as he can handle a man that would stand just behind him. That and the exploitation factor.

15. Her ambitions will override her pride
and she'll put up with any amount of abuse in order that her personal stock rise. She's just as sociopathic as any other politician who would embrace former tormentors - ones who ridiculed or spread vicious rumors about family members - in the name of political expediency.

I doubt that I'm wrong about this, but if I am, I hope she has the good sense to get the fuck out.

28. Frankly I suspect she already puts up with abuse
from the snowmobile fanatic behind the curtain. There's something really weird about their relationship and the way he 'keeps an eye' on her.

It's OK, her religion says that she must submit.

33. Worse yet, she thinks it's "God's plan" that she become VP and Prez.
That's the worst of all.. she deludes herself beliving that God wants her to do this... and we've all seen how badly that turns out when politicians start speaking for God.

he isn't directly attacking her but simmering over having someone so unqualified to be VP. I imagined the underlying anger being there during Friday's debate.

And also the Katie Couric interview, if Palin was feeling under pressure not to f*ck up due to a display of McCain's temper and it made her actually screw up more.

20. the last time this poor woman looked really confident was at the
RNC convention.

Then, she looked "pretty confident" for the Charlie Gibson interview.

She didn't look confident at all at the Couric interview.

This woman is terrified. :nopity:

NO. He's an asshole and she's clueless.

They barely know each other, and are barely around each other. I doubt seriously he's ever said a negative word to her. She has handlers who are with her constantly, and they likely do all the backstage coaching and instructing.

She's a willing tool, and she lacks confidence now because she has to answer questions, and her answers prove she's idiot who shouldn't be visiting the White House, muchless making executive decisions.
