David Brooks admits he "couldn't watch" the replay of Palin's interview with Couric.

On Charlie Rose this past week, (not up on video yet), Rose replies, "You couldn't watch?" (incredulously) -- Brooks replies that he has only been able to see 30 sec snippets, as he can't watch "the humiliation." -- Yet one more pundit whose cringe meter has blown. Couric's straight face in the face of such gibberish by Palin is an amazing feat.

11. I just went back and looked at the original interview and you are right.

I don't know why I didn't notice the blinking. It was a though she was signaling in Morse Code, "moron, moron, moron."

I think I had been too focused on her otherwise lack of expression.

the Canadian debate on Thursday night instead of the VP debate. I just don't need to see that much humiliation on the TV.
