Can somebody explain why a Presidential candidate has the right to hide medical records? |
|
Can't the legislative branch require all Presidential candidates to disclose this information upon the candidate's accepting the nomination?

I mean he let select members of the press view the 1500+ pages of documents for THREE whole hours! What more do you want? To make photocopes or take notes? Sheesh! :sarcasm: http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/05/22/mccain.records/

12. It is the voters responsiblity to force release of such records |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 02:22 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
If voters care about somebody's medical records so much they won't vote for him unless they are released then the situation clarifies itself.
And if voters don't care enough, there's no reason to release them.
The constitution is explicit as who is eligible to be president. Nobody has to release background information, participate in debates, speak to the press or anything else.

13. Because we really do NOT have the right to demand private medical records. However... |
|
We do have the right to know about a candidate's health.
These 2 are not the same thing.
