I just received a phone message from Congressman Robert Wexler

wishing me a "Happy New Year" and to re-assure me that Barack Obama and Joe Biden are definitely "Friends of Israel." As a member of my local Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters, this was a pleasant surprise. My name is on various lists of charities I've contributed to in our Jewish community so I will assume that's where they got my name. It was funny, but to tell the truth it gave me a nice feeling. I'm a big Robert Wexler fan, and if he wants to wish me a Happy Jewish New Year, I say be a mensch and right back at ya!.....Shalom....

I'm relieved frankly, after having received a very attractively designed, glossy full color piece in the mail from Joe Liebermann to tell me who is a better friend of the Jews and Israel. I'm thrilled that there's lots going on to counteract that crap- and once again, I have to say, Shame on Joe Liebermann. He is a disgrace to our party and to our religion.
