the obama yard sign is finally IN THE YARD!

it arrived yesterday and we put it out in the yard earlier today.

someone driving by stopped to share in the support for obama as mrs. unblock was choosing the ideal location for the yard sign.

it took about 2 months for it to arrive, but it's so worth the wait!


wish i could plant it in a swing state, but it'll have to do here in connecticut.
maybe it will help get jim himes elected over over that more-of-the-same chris shays guy....

3. My first one was stolen.

I stopped by the OBAMA table at West Lake Mall in Seattle and got a new one.

We hoisted it WAY up in a tree! They will fall in a hole if they try to steal this one!

I will help them up and call the police!

as of about 10:00 a.m. this morning. Our neighbors about a half mile up the hill have a white flag on their flagpole that says only "W."

7. Here's where I put my Obama yard sign:

I've had it for about 4 weeks now. They told me at Obama headquarters yesterday that they just got 1000 Obama/Biden yard signs from Madison. I have been seeing more around town and there should be many more soon because Obama is scheduled to be here on Wednesday (but who knows with the bailout bill to be voted on).

10. I've been trying to get one for weeks

here in Minneapolis. Every time I go to the local campaign HQ they are all out of them -- no lawn signs, no bumper stickers. And then by sheer coincidence this weekend I was walking past the Dem office in the little bitty town of Wabasha, MN (where Dirty Old Men was filmed), and lo and behold, they had lawn signs and bumper stickers!

So finally I have my lawn sign and my bumper sticker. I will be really PO'd if anybody steals it, but that's not likely in my very left-wing neighborhood -- unless someone wanted it for themselves.
