Voters.

I really dislike the term "Joe Sixpack". But then my first long-term boyfriend was an alcoholic and since then my patience with that brand of self-destruction isn't all it could be.

3. I don't think that's the way that term is intended to be intermreted.
I think when someone says "Joe Six Pack" they are trying to distinguish them from the "elitists" who "have a glass of White Wine or a Stoli on the rocks.

4. Since when is the equivalent of three tall beers a sign of addiction?
I have no reason to doubt you are familiar with alcoholics and experienced the negative impacts of alcoholism, but the difference between that and a six pack of beer is enormous. This modern day attitude of making any drinking (perhpas beyone one small glass of wine with dinner)equivalent to rampant uncontrolled mental illness is both a disservice to real alcoholism and an egregious insult to the millions of perfectly stable and non-addicted folks who enjoy beer more than some think we should (which can be any at all in some cases).
