She can pretend to be just an ordinary, average soccer mom, but that's bullshit.

She earns $250,000 a year. How many ordinary, average Americans make $250,000 a year? At that level, she's not ordinary or average and she cannot comprehend what it's like to try to raise a family on $40,000 a year.

It was very obvious to me that the words she spoke were written for her, and she very carefully memorized them and practiced them before the debate. Does America want another puppet for the GOP? Someone who will do what she is told and pretend to be an ordinary, average American in the process?

I don't think so.

She offered nothing new, no plans to indicate there's anything other than a continuation of the Bush years.

Send her packing back to Alaska, where the people there can deal with her, now that her cover has been blown.

1. Here's my canned answer to every discussion about Palin.

Think of all the bad actresses you know, soap operas, B movies, Life Time movies, Tori Spelling....EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM COULD HAVE DONE WHAT SARAH PALIN DID LAST NIGHT. They could have spent weeks memorizing answers written by other people. When asked a question that they didn't have an answer for, they simply fill in with a canned answer or lines from speeches.

Paris Hilton has been in movies...she could have done that debate last night if she was memorizing lines and had time to rehearse. Nobody can deny that.

3. rehearsed over and over again
she was just cheerleading for McCain. I found her to be insulting and sorry I don't want a hockey mom to be VP of the country.

can you see this woman visiting Saudi Arabia?

5. All she and McSame have is the claim to be "reformers"
Palin has done some of this in Alaska, but she's still a repub and even worse, a fundamentalist. She kept that pretty well hidden last night, as she has to in this campaign. I don't think it matters that she was following a script, as, for the most part, she pulled it off.
In the voters minds it comes down to: who do you trust? Fortunately for us, there are many who now feel the Dems deserve a chance to try and turn this situation around. There are many, though, who don't trust ANY politician right now. Palin appeals to them because she doesn't seem like a normal politician, even though she clearly is one. It's the same demographic Reagan appealed to.

6. It appeared that she didn't understand she was
participating in a debate. She sounded like she was on the campaign trail spewing memorized talking points. I wonder when she's up for re-election in Alaska and how that's going to go. My guess is that her political career is over and I bet the P.T.A. wouldn't even have her back.

7. some words were hers
Someone needs to tell her that 'betcha' isn't a word and that the 'g' at the end of words that end in 'ing' isn't silent. The last thing we need is another person in the executive branch who can't speak the language. Her way of speaking is so annoying I couldn't watch the entire debate. And what the fuck is up with the winking? Doesn't she know that it makes her look like an idiot? How can anyone seriously consider this woman for any elected position higher then president of the PTA?

10. Very programmed. Her delivery seemed odd to me, she didn't
always put emphasis on the right words, it didn't sound conversational at all, because it was just being regurgitated from memory without thinking. It's like when children recite things they don't understand, their inflections aren't always right.

And at times she rushed through certain sentences, like she knew she had to cram them all in before her time ran out. There was no thought behind her words.

9. That, in a nutshell, was the difference between the two.
Biden was speaking his own words, thoughts and ideas. Palin was parroting what had been fed to her, essentially performing a script.
