13 minute documentary on Keating 5 is too long.
I think it is great it was made and put out there. But I think these undecided voters are not going to get on line, go to a site, and then sit and watch a 13 minute short film..

Obama needs to wrap that up to 1 minute and then put it in front of them during prime time viewing.
Keating 5 issues is so much more damaging and relevant today then Ayers by far.

2. I think it is fine, if one cannot watch a 13 minute clip, then they have ADD.nt

8. Umm.. yeah, but 95% of the 18 - 25 demographic has ADD..
I'm 31, but i'm practically there.. 3 computers going at the same time.. iTunes playing in the background.. TV on in the foreground.. 2 screaming kids and their freinds on the couch and a husband in the next room asking me questions.

I'd love to see this knocked down to 2 minutes..

29. Well..
I guess i assumed most older voters would remember the scandal already - but perhaps not.

And at 31.. i have a heck of a lot invested that has tanked today. Not a million like some.. but enough so that if I had cashed it out 2 weeks ago, I could have purchased a small house. Not anymore though.. Thanks Economy.. THANKS! :hi:

13. I totally agree. But we are talking about the people with ADD that voted Bush TWICE
Unfortunately a large percentage of voters view politics as a waist of their time and vote depending on commercial.. Not DU people or alot of rePubes out there. These retards that voted for Bush the second time, alot of them voted because of swiftboating, Kerry's words taken out of context and commercialized, etc..

Just sayin.

3. Gee, thanks Mr. de Mille.
It's a damn shame you don't work for the Obama campaign. We'd be winning right now if they had you on board.

9. I doubt they're trying to reach undecided voters directly.
Rather, they want to influence political reporters and send a warning shot to the McCain campaign about the consequences of playing dirty.

14. True, but when Ayers commercials are rolling, a Keating 5 commercial
should follow.. 2004 shows people vote from commercials then from the facts.

10. YouTube members will shorten -- But, there's LOTS of material to last till Nov 4th
And the material won't be OLD... because each clip will be new.

This will produce MANY MANY 30 second - 1 minute clips for a while to come.

11. it will be. this is a warning shot across the bow.
as in "keep it up & you'll get this whittled down & on the air in every battleground". 60, 30, 15 second versions are no doubt in the can, waiting for the launch code.

relax, obama HQ doesn't half-ass something like this. and they've got way more money than mccain.

12. I don't think the point of posting the video is necessarily that people watch it.
This is a shot across the bow from the Obama camp. They are saying, you want to sling mud, we'll sling mud, and we'll do it virally using 21st-century technology. We will eat your lunch on this every day, every instance.

The vid is targeted at the Mc spin meisters to show them what they're on the verge of reaping if they decide to go negative as they're promising.

If Mc abandons the mud, the K5 vid will go away.

wanted it to be short, he'd have made it short. It's not an ad, it's a documentary.

on Keating put together by Obama team.. Obama needs to make a commercial so pundits will have something to show.

27. Low information voters are always too lazy to gather
facts. Fortunately, there are alot fewer of them this year. If a "normal" person can't sit through a 13 minute video, they have a problem.

That said. I finally got the dumb video to work right and it was outstanding! Devastating, actually. That video is so pertinent to today's financial crisis that it will be devastating for McCain, particularly with seniors who remember that crisis of corruption and many of whom lost their life savings. This is going to hit home for them, and many others.

The beauty of Obama's fierce response is that he kept it on ice and likely never would have unleashed it if McNasty had not become completely unhinged and opened that door. McCain lowered the boom on himself. Not. real. smart.

Ciao old man. :hi:

I can't imagine Americans have changed so much since then to not be able to watch something like this.
