We are lucky that McCain backed the bailout... Obama fortunate that McCain can't see far forward.

I think the polls would be much much tighter if McCain had fought the bailout... but he missed his chance boxing himself in by going to the rescue.

Hindsight being 20/20 that was the game-changer he was looking for.
