"That One" energy bill -- had tax credits for hybrids and home energy efficiency

McCain focused on the tax breaks given to oil and NPP companies in the 2005 Energy Policy Act, which he was referring to when he made his finger-jab "that one" remark. But that bill also included tax credits for homeowners who install energy-efficiency improvements on their houses, and for purchasers of hybrid and AF cars. It also provided tax incentives for industrial physical plants to replace inefficient lighting with more efficient fluorescent lighting. It also extended an existing tax credit for using renewable energy. Overall the tax reductions for big energy vs. the energy efficient little guy were close to even.

The O side should point these things out. Let "that one" backfire for McCain.
