Audio Expert in the House? |

Is there a way to separate out the booos from that "cover" music the bullshit Flyers owner ordered up?

2. Not separate them entirely, but with a decent audio file to work with |
|
he music could be minimized.

5. Even if the pitch is the same? |
|
A crowd's "boo" is generally at a common pitch. If the music track had a drone note at the same pitch/frequency, could it be separated?
I hate to show my ignorance on the subject, but I am a bit better at layin' it down than I am at deconstructing music.

6. There'd be some bleed, but only from timbral similarities. |
|
Pro Tools, as mentioned upthread, could do a very good job on something like this.

Next thing I know, someone will tell me that my dial phone and 8-track player are outdated.
I need to get out more often.

10. The old stuff is still the best! |
|
Last week I got two vintage broadcast microphones, an antique Czech button accordion, a Hohner chromatic harp, an old Korg Poly-800 synth in mint condition, and assorted other goodies from the estate of an uncle of a friend of mine. All free. Hog heaven...

4. You can try running it through an equalizer |
|
and mess around with the levels to stifle some of it. You won't actually remove the music from the boos, though.
The boos would be easier to silence than the music, but that's not what I expect you are looking for.

Which is to take the recording from the game and a recording of the music that was played (I assume it's some well-known tune) and subtract the latter from the former. It's not that complex...but what's the point of doing it? If you want to listen to the boos in all their glory, it's still going to sound rather weird (due to acoustic artefacts, ie the echo of the music); and if it's meant for general consumption, it would be deceptive.
