McCain has to have his own music written for him because all of the good artists keep telling him
to stop playing their music.

And boy oh boy, if you were listening to MSNBC and you heard that horrible country song then you know why I'm laughing.

1. He should have played, "I'm so lonesome I could cry"
Because that's what about sums up the McCain camp.

2. Hank Williams Jr. just reconfigured one of his old songs
Hank, Why do you drink?
Why do you roll smoke?
Why must you live out the songs you wrote?
Stop and think it over
Try and put yourself in my unique position
If I get stoned and sing all night long
It's a family tradition!

Probably the only decent song he ever did. Don't get me wrong, his father had a hard time completing a composition but at least Daddy had moments of genius. The son is just a blowhard thug.

8. Hank III is far better than his pappy...
He looks and sounds more like his grandpappy than his daddy does too.

I loves me some Hank III!

He's a classic country lovin' metal head just like me!

9. I will have to check him out
I've heard he's very good. Normally I try to avoid C&W but, living in the Texas panhandle, that's an impossibility.

I do like twang. Is he twangy?

10. He can twang it up with the best of 'em...
But usually, halfway through his set he says something like:

"Now, y'all have been very kind to come out tonight, and I hope you've enjoyed the show. Right about now things are gonna get sorta loud... and rockin', so if any of y'all don't take to that sort of thing, you might want to call it a night right now."

Then he goes into the most wonderful heavy metal tirade you ever wanted to hear! His metal is finer than a frog hair split eight ways;) And his country does his granpappy proud!

I have always been a HUGE Hank Williams fan... and June and Johnny have been my heroes all my life... and I'll always have a special place in my heart for Faron Young. I was fortunate to grow up with a granny who loved her some old time country and I grew a healthy appreciation for the genre myself. However... I am a metal head. No question. So when people like Hank III or Robert Plant and Alison Krause blur that line betwixt the two, I'm happier than a pig in mud!

4. There must be some of those good ol' boy cowboy boot wearin'
Corral cookie kickin' country types that have a song he can borry...

No offense to the country music fans here... there just seems to be a lot of that type around.

I loves me some classic country... June and Johnny are my heros... but I can count on one hand the number of "new" country artists I like.

7. Have you thought about what a miserable inaugural concert McCain would have?
NOBODY wants to play their music anywhere near McCain. Nobody wants their music used by McCain. No musician I can think of wants to have anything to do with McCain.

13. Meanwhile, Obama's been endorsed by the musicians whose music he plays
and even if they haven't endorsed him, Brooks & Dunn had no problem with the Obama campaign using "Only in America" to close his rallies. :)

...tune "When the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEgull flies" dead cheap.

It would be most appropriate, IMHO.

Pat Boone, Tracee Adkins and all the other washed out, talentless has-been singers should be the perfect match for the washed-out, has-been McCain and his talentless running mate
