5. I don't get why McCain went back to Iowa. Again.
It's blue. It's over. Why waste time and money there (OK, yes, I'm for that).
Anyway, are they really that stupid that they're wasting time in blue states?

7. My SIL will be in heaven
She's a likely Palin voter, even though she's pretty smart. Having an engineering degree does not remove the right-wing bitchiness, though.

11. This is more telling than any poll. Republican presidential tickets don't campaign in Indiana. n/t

12. What's with that state, I saw a documentary on the
KKK and the rebirth of the KKK started there in the early 1900's. I'm in Ohio and least we come to our senses every once in a while, Indiana is like Alabama.

15. Indiana is not Alabama
and our share of bigots is perhaps smaller than in Ohio.

We have had a large influx of immigrants and we ain't as white as it used to be. :-)

17. I hope so, Joe Biden was in my area this afternoon
and Palin was here Sunday. They did an on line poll on local TV and Obama got 55% and McCain 45% and we are supposed to be the ignorant racist hillbillies in SE Ohio. I think we will take Ohio and WV especially if we can get Obama to make a visit.

19. I must admit Ohio is a weird place too. Ohio elects a Republican
Governor than after 2 or 3 terms they leave the state practically in bankruptcy. A Democrat gets in and has to raise taxes and then when things get straightened out they vote a Republican in again because they say they will lower taxes. This cycle has been going on ever since I remember.

20. True, but....
Bush won here by 21 points. That's a lot to overcome in one election cycle. Still, the fact that Indiana is in play tells you everything about the state of the race!
