I'm nervous about the debate
I firmly believe Obama will win hands down but there's something nerve-wracking about watching. Maybe it's just the anticipation.

Is anyone else feeling this way?

I hope McCain comes across as a cranky old man. But I'm just so nervous!

I am always nervous. For some reason, there's just *something* about watching people debate live that is unsettling for me. I had to force myself to watch the last debate, but I found it easier to do as I was following it on DU.

I couldn't watch the first debate, nor could I watch the VP debate because of this.

8. I think the format works to McCain's advantage

In the sense that both of them will be sitting down. I liked the other 2 where they were standing up, especially the "Town Hall" style that allowed Obama to walk around and provide a stark contrast with McSame physically.

That said, I would rank this one as the least important among the three.

10. But recall Obama has done virtually all serious Interviews sitting down and has nailed it.
recently: with Gibson, O'Rielly, 60 Minutes

11. I am too. I know Obama will do fine, it's not about that.
I'm one of those who reads the end of the book first, likes to know how a movie ends before I watch...

It's a flaw, I've owned it many years ago. Now I just accept it, read ends of books, read spoilers, etc.

But in situations like this, I find myself jittery because there is nothing much I can do. It drives my husband crazy.

14. I record the debate while I'm watching a movie and reading DU
and that is not always helpful when people will constantly start a new thread with, "Can you believe he said THAT?!!" Then you get 18 people who all feel obligated to start a new thread saying just, "THAT ONE!!!" No reading DU while the debate is going is not always helpful when nobody makes a post, but starts a new thread and so many of the posts are useless unless you are watching.

16. I always feel that way - I cant watch with out a major distraction at the same time
I usually watch only part of it and read the blogs and DU and then after the insta polls come back I focus more on the debate:)

18. I'm a little excited
not so much nervous. I'm hoping for a huge smackdown on Reaganomics and an indictment of McHoover's contribution to running the economy off the cliff.

If McShame tries his lie and smear strategy I hope and expect that he will be made to go home and suck his thumb.

Who gets the jitters...Sure I do during the debates....It helps to flick the bird at McFalin while he is speaking...Drawing erasable marker mustaches on his face during the debate...throwing popcorn at him....oh .... I have such an inner kid...can't help myself....
