I voted in Colorado for Obama and Udall yesterday.. |
|
I hand-delivered my mail-in ballot to my local city hall where there was a ballot drop-off since didn't even want to trust the USPS.
Just doing my part to fix America!
It feels SOOOOOO good!

3. Two of my proudest moments.. One was casting my very first vote against Nixon |

I have to thank him for not only giving 18 yr olds the vote in '72 but ending the draft that year also. Still voted against the crook.
Now I have cast a ballot for the first non white President Of The United States. I remember in my childhood in rural Oklahoma driving through towns that had signs reading "Coloreds. Don't let the sun set on you". I remember segregated schools, segregated restaurants and even "whites only" signs above water fountains. It makes me proud to be a part of this milestone in American history. I'm just sorry that it took so long.
