BREAKING - McCain Is Blaming Obama For "Smears" Against Joe and Press Coverage of Joe

On CNN. A blurb is also on First Read.

John McCain says that, if Joe the Plumber isn’t crazy about the tough questions coming from reporters hanging out on his lawn, he has Barack Obama to blame.

“He didn't ask for Senator Obama to come to his house. He wasn't recruited or prompted by our campaign,” McCain said of the political cycle’s newest celebrity, who questioned Obama on taxes during a neighborhood canvas earlier this week. “He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks."

Seriously, McCain is blaming Obama.

4. He didn't ask Sen. McCain to bring him up 21 times in a nationally televised debate.
Or maybe he did, who knows? But McCain was the one who put him firmly into the public spotlight, not Obama. But I think this is all going to play out as the Ayers stuff does, just another McCain attempt to distract the public from the real issues.

9. Well, the most Obama and Biden have done is make a few comments based on what the MEDIA reported.
To blame Obama for their actions is a fucking joke.

14. Obama didn't go to that idiot's house.
The idiot came to Obama and started asking questions.

Joe the non-plumber should blame McCain for bringing up his name in the first place.

15. Fox: Joe the Plummer is under attack
This is beyond desperate.

Don't they know Obama will just effortlessly spin this like "we don't want to attack Joe, we want his vote, we want to cut his taxes and help him afford quality health care"

17. Question: Why when a voter asks Palin a question is it slammed as "gotcha" questioning
But when a McCain supporter asks Obama a question, Obama better answer and nobody better question the motives behind asking it?
