Joe Biden was great on Ellen DeGeneres this morning (spoilers.)
He congratulated Ellen on her recent marriage and told the audience to vote NO on Proposition 8 and said he would vote against it if he lived in California. He denounced the robocalls and told how he came to McCain's defense in 2000 when the same tactics were used against McCain's wife and children (by some of the same people,) offering at that time to vouch for McCain's character. But he and Ellen discussed that McCain has changed -- he's not the same person he was back then. Ellen said she wished he and Palin had more debates and he said that he agreed to debate her again when invited by the Fraternal Order of Police (I think?) but she refused.

Then he dunked Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the dunk tank for $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. It took him a few shots but they were all close and he didn't "cheat" and get closer like most of Ellen's guests (including Colin Farrell earlier in the show. :))

He was funny, intelligent, and articulate, as he always is, and the audience was crazy about him. :D I love Joe! :loveya:

1. The Ellen show features Joe Biden AND a soaking wet Julia Louis-Dreyfus?
May have to watch that...

5. Nothing new for us but I can't get enough of Joe and Barack!
And I love to hear how the audience cheered loudly at everything he said. :hi:

3. Oops!
I was reading DU at the same time and I didn't see his entrance. I have it recorded. I'll have to go back and see if he danced. :hi:

7. No dancing.
But the first thing Ellen said to him was, "Can I call you Joe?" and he said, "As long as you wink at me." :D

6. I wish I could see Obama and Biden in person
but I don't think they're going to come to Texas anytime soon. :(

I should have gone to see Obama when he came to Austin and San Marcos during the primaries. My loss!

8. I've always loved Joe, but don't you
just think he's gotten even better since paring with Barack? They make a great team. I feel SOOOOOOO good about this election, but then I try to temper that feeling incase the asshole repubs try to steal it again.

Damnit! I want to let go and feel good about all this!

9. I agree!
I like watching him get us hyped up at the rallys. He let's it all go. A couple of weeks ago he was giving a speech and took his jacket. THIS is the ticket that I have been waiting for.

10. Yes, my only prior experience with him was watching him on shows like
Meet The Press. I, too, always liked him but it's nice to see him so relaxed and confident. He's a natural -- he doesn't have to act the part, like McCain. Obama's that way, too. It's so refreshing! :hi:
