What state should be the host of the final Obama/Biden rally?
I'm sure they'll have a big blowout rally on November 3rd with all the major players.

What state should receive the honor of holding the very very last one (until 2012 :))?

1. Illinois - in Chicago - Grant Park
Chicago, Where It all Began.

Besides Barack can go home and sleep in his own bed and own house.

It's nice and circular. The story, not the state.

10. Awwww Geez...
I was going to be selfish and ask for it to be in Pittsburgh. That is until you mentioned that Barack (and family) can go home and sleep in his own bed.

Give it up for Chicago!!!!

:applause:

32. Sounds great.
or maybe Springfield, where he started his campaign ...where he returned with Biden ... and where he can celebrate the victory. And where Lincoln lived and worked.

18. Miami Beach Florida on South Beach!
I was there for Al Gore's Miami Beach rally the night before the election (he had one more stop in Tampa at 3AM) and it seems fitting Karma/Justice to me to retake the White House on the very same beach that it was stolen from Al Gore on in 2000.

I moved to Orlando in time for the Al Gore election and now it looks like I'm moving back to South Florida just in time to see the Bush nightmare end. It would really "bookend" the Bush administration for me in a very poetic way.

26. It'll be decided late.
Edited on Mon Oct-20-08 06:17 PM by hvn_nbr_2
The decision will be based partly on polls in the presidential race, i.e, which state is close but winnable or leaning but shaky.

It could also depend on down-ticket races, especially Senate. If the presidential race is clearly in hand, Obama and Biden may go to states with close Senate races to boost Dem Senate candidates.

Edit to add: In 1972 in Biden's first Senate campaign, Sargent Shriver, the Dem v.p. candidate on the obviously failing McGovern ticket, went to Delaware to give Biden a boost in a very close race. The leaders of national tickets don't go to a small state like Delaware in the closing days of a campaign unless it's either a swing state in a national toss-up or to boost down-ticket candidates. My memory may be wrong on it being Shriver; it was some big name. The Pukes also brought in a big name to boost Biden's opponent; I think it was Pat Nixon but don't remember for sure.

Think of the incredible publicity the ticket will get with a rally in the state where Obama lost so badly to Clinton.
