How is the RNC getting our cellphone numbers to robocall?

My mom is LIVID!!!! On top of the home invasion, we're on a 7-7 plan, these calls cost money!!

She just received her 3rd call, this last one was Tom Ridge calling for Mccain. All the calls come up "unavailable". She hangs up on them immediately.

I didn't know what to tell her and I'm extremely pissed that these people would anger my 75 soon to be 76 year old mother WITH health problems with this bullshit.

What else can I/she/we do?

ETA a 2nd thought: I wonder whose database they bought or stole to get these numbers and I wonder who got them for the RNC?

2. She's always thinking it's someone she knows that's the problem

and her first instinct is to pick up a ringing phone rather than taking time to find her glasses and read the screen.

I'm sure lots of older people are the same way and this is just not right to screw around with them like this.
