"-- A 6-3 liberal majority Supreme Court that results in rulings like one making gay marriage the law of the land and another forcing the Boy Scouts to ''hire homosexual scoutmasters and allow them to sleep in tents with young boys.'' (In the imagined scenario, The Boy Scouts choose to disband rather than obey).

-- A series of domestic and international disasters based on Obama's ''reluctance to send troops overseas.'' That includes terrorist attacks on U.S. soil that kill hundreds, Russia occupying the Baltic states and Eastern European countries including Poland and the Czech Republic, and al-Qaida overwhelming Iraq.

-- Nationalized health care with long lines for surgery and no access to hospitals for people over 80.

The goal was to ''articulate the big picture,'' said Carrie Gordon Earll, senior director of public policy for Focus on the Family Action. ''If it is a doomsday picture, then it's a realistic picture,'' she said. . . "

I have people in my family that I tend to call REAL Christians. They love unconditionally, aren't judgmental, are generous and forgiving. The Jesus of Nazareth I was told of when young would never go along with Mr. Dobson or his cult. I really think He would take great offense at their actions. "By their fruits ye shall know them" comes to mind.

The Bertha-Better-Than-Yous in the pews turned me off organized religion, and I resent them for interfering in matters of State. I hope that they start their own third party after this election, and are forever exiled into the wilderness. They are hateful, intolerant, spiteful, cocky, smug, judgmental, and obsessed with money. Jesus would run them out of the temple. I think the Noonan/Will/Powell crowd are absolutely horrified at what their party has turned into, and the McCain of 2000 had it right. I wish. That fear among conservatives is just plain delusional, an Obama presidentcy will likely only maintain the narrow balance on the court, and replace liberal judges with younger liberal judges.

The only way we get a 6 to 3 majority is if either a conservative judge says "screw it I quit even though I know a judge I strongly disagree with on the issues will be appointed to the court", or suddenly drops dead from bad health or something (and as far as I know they're all healthy, plus Supreme Court judges get great medical care).

Stephen Breyer is 70 years old.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 75 years old.

Anthony Kennedy is 72 years old.

Antonin Scalia is 72 years old.

David Souter is 69 years old.

John Stevens is 88 years old.


All six will be replaced by Obama over 8 years since they are all pretty much 70+ years old. He will appoint justices in their 40s or early 50s. That's six justices that will be left leaning and will be on the USSC bench for at least 20 to 25 years, maybe even 30 years.


The GOP/Republican leaning judges remaining will be:

Clarence Thomas who is currently 60 years old.

Chief Justice Roberts who is currently 53 years old.

Samuel Alito who is currenly 58 years old.



So, after 8 years of an Obama presidency, we'll have 6 left-leaning justices, and 3 right-leaning ones.
