Dana Bash on CNN says McCain didn't even draw 1000 in Albuquerque NM.
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 01:58 PM by Lex
McCain folks were desperately trying to get their own volunteers to come in and fill seats.

Did anyone else catch that from Dana Bash just now?

Edited to add: Obama will be Albuquerque later today, so let's compare and contrast then!

1. Ouch! I've been enjoying a couple of hours of NO TELEVISION.
It does wonders for the blood pressure.

4. amen:)
I feel just like Larry David most of the time... pacing angry kitty with tourettes.. (and I don't tease in a flippant way - I work with people with tourettes), just some uncontrollable outbursts that make me have to watch the news in the privacy of my own home! I make sure to check intrade and fivethirtyeight before I go to sleep...

:D

25. Welcome to DU! Larry David, you say?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-david/waiting-for-nov-4th_b_137029.html

I was out with my son after school one afternoon and saw a guy out with his kid - the guy was wearing a t-shirt that said "WWLDD?" He said it stood for "What Would Larry David Do?" We had a big chuckle over that. Most of the time, when that question comes up at our house, my husband and I are likely to turn to each other and say - "bomm, bomm, bomm..." and then lapse into that theme song.

:toast:

12. CBS reporting the same. A pathetic "crowd" of 1000.
Does Crowd Size Matter? McCain Hopes Not
From CBS News’ John Bentley:
(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.)

The problem for the McCain campaign is that less than 1,000 people heard him make this argument at his rally here, compared with the 40,000 that are expected to greet Barack Obama when he arrives in town this evening.

21. Every minute he wastes in NM
is a minute he's not in VA, CO, NV, NC, IN, FL, and OH.

Excellent Johnny Mac - keep wasting money in NM! Though, I'd urge you to go ahead and visit IA again!

22. what is his strategy with it ?
i really don't get it. i don't think they have any chance.

but if things were the other way around and it was Democrats where McCain is i would advise them to focus on Florida , Ohio, North Carolina, and Nevada.

it's like if Obama was running behind in states like Wisconsin and Michigan but spending time in places like North Dakota.

he didn't even compete in the iowa caucus. he has a mostly bad relationship with the people in the state going back to 2000.
