Hilarious: Nate "538.com" Silver's article in the ultra-biased NY Post.
http://www.nypost.com/seven/10252008/postopinion/opedcolumnists/mccains__long__road_to_electoral_win_135233.htm

Nate is pretty non-partisan. He also thinks McCain has a 5% chance of winning this election and openly doubts it can really be done. But the Post, whom I believe endorsed McCain the weekend after Palin spoke at the convention, clearly really really wants people to believe McCain can still win. So they gave his article a positive title: "McCain's (Long) Road to Victory"(!) and stuck it next to an Op-Ed by Dick "slimebag" Morris who says McCain is only behind by 5-7 points (when it's clearly more than that)--AND they stuck both articles next to a altered photgraph of McCain as Truman, holding a newspaper headline saying "McCain Beats Obama!" Wishful thinking, guys.

But the article itself is actually quite good. I'd read it and ignore the ultra-optimistic Post spin.

1. What makes you think Nate didn't title his own article?

2. Editors typically choose the article's headline.

4. Wow, Dick Morris's advice is horrible.
Bring back Rev. Wright? Oh, really? Just like dredging up William Ayers was such a success for McCain? The voters have indicated that they are sick of smear campaigns. All the Ayers crap succeeded in doing was raising McCain's negative numbers and boosting Obama a few points up in previously red states.

Warn voters of impending socialism? Uh ... isn't that what the McCain camp has been doing for months now? Obviously, it's not working. Or perhaps Americans are more "socialist" than they realize.
