I'm not so keen on most of the old guard in the Democratic Party. I like seeing some new blood.

Byrd will always be a standout to me because of his strong position against the Iraq war.

My favorite all time Democrat is Al Gore. Smart, candid, gets things done.

There should be a Democratic Hall of Fame. Why don't we start one? Wellstone should be in it. Some of our truly great Democrats should NEVER be forgotten, never. FDR, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter.

82. I can't pick 3! Kennedy, Kerry, Kucinich, Boxer, Schweitzer, Levin, Durbin-oh crap I can't do it.
There was also a distinguished gray-haired AA guy with glasses. I forget his name. I really liked him but haven't seen him in awhile. Maybe he retired. I used to see him in a lot of hearings on cspan.
