Palin has a "voice coach"
Great, is there NOTHING real about her? Not the clothes, not her voice/speaking/cadence...her voice still comes across as nails across a chalk board/fork tongs across a plate.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/26/magazine/26mccain-t.html?pagewanted=7&_r=1&ref=magazine

In fact, the woman was here for a reason. Her name was Priscilla Shanks, a New York-based stage and screen actress of middling success who had found a lucrative second career as a voice coach. Shanks’s work with Sarah Palin was as evident as it was unseen. Gone, by the evening of her convention speech, was the squeaky register of Palin’s exclamations. Gone (at least for the moment) was the Bushian pronunciation of “nuclear” as “nook-you-ler.” Present for the first time was a leisurely, even playful cadence that signaled Sarah Palin’s inevitability on this grand stage.

44. Of course she's real! But you spelled her name wrong. It's Gunderson.
Don't mess with the Gunderson name.

Step over here, my terrier would like to have a yap with you, please. :-) May want to invest in some steel tipped shoes and shin guards first, though.

5. Hell, Paris Hilton comes across as more real than her
that over-rehearsed little commercial she did seemed a lot less rehearsed and empty than Palin sounds, and that is saying something. I really can't stand Hilton.

I can't think of a more irritating voice than Palin's, voice coach or not.

Her voice hurts my ears too. Hard to believe she's already had a voice coach, obviously she failed miserably.

33. hey, quit blaming the poor voice coach...
Who's ears must be bleeding worse than ours. It's not like Palin's tutors have had much luck with her, either.

All the coaching in the world won't change a tin ear or a crappy instrument. Mostly, the tin ear.

39. Pygmalion... a reminder of the premise:
Pygmalion (1913) is a play by George Bernard Shaw based on the Greek myth of the same name. It tells the story of Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics (based on phonetician Henry Sweet), who makes a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering that he can successfully pass off a Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, as a refined society lady by teaching her how to speak with an upper class accent and training her in etiquette. In the process, Higgins and Doolittle grow close, but she ultimately rejects his domineering ways and declares she will marry Freddy Eynsford-Hill – a young, poor, gentleman. This play is based on Pygmalion, a sculptor from Greek Mythology who was a known misogynist - a trait somewhat shared by Prof Higgins in this play.

42. OMG, this is getting out of control. What is she, a doll to play dress up with, provide a voice for,
and to stuff talking points into her pea brain??? My God, she is the Manchurian Candidate. So fake and filled up with fluff that she never sounds like she believes anything she says. Plus this woman is a "diva" and listens to no one per her own campaign operatives. I am putting my face in my hands now. Sarah is not grown up enough to be a VP candidate even at the age of 44. This is sad but sadder still is the idiot that chose her and then let her being shaped, molded and prodded and it still didn't work. She still can't get through an interview without getting something terribly wrong. Yes, that wonderful man, we know him as John McStupid. Now contrast Sarah to Joe Biden who just smacked down an idiot reporter and who does not need his hand held in order to answer questions and actually knows what the VP's job really is. Sarah, after the election is over I suggest you take your Joe-sixpack trooper-gate husband, your knocked up daughter, and the rest of your poor children (who have had to put up with Mommy's ambitions over their sister's welfare) and that cute little political prop, Trig (a cutie-deserves better) and go home to Alaska where you belong. If anyone ever needs a white-trash gun toting airhead ever again they will know where to find you. Thank You.
