7. My husband lost his Mom under similar circumstances.

I am sure he felt that comment deeply. We do not have children of our own, but his Mom has three beautiful grandkids now (our niece and nephews). I'm sad too, because I never got to meet her, but I inherited a bunch of her books from my father-in-law. She was an intelligent, well-read and intellectual lady who I am sure I would have loved a great deal, considering what a great son she raised. :cry:

She never got to see those beautiful little girls. Or to know her son is going to be the next President of the United States.

10. But she did know her son, and I believe

she knew before she died that he would raise fine and wonderful children. She knew of her grandchildren's potential by knowing her son. Does that make sense? That type of thinking comforts me, anyway.

9. Me too. My father never met my kids. And to think that we have

that in common was very powerful. After that, I was toast. Trying to pretend I was just rubbing my eyes. Didn't work. The family noticed.
